HoustonCritics.com is owned and operated by two average guys, Mark and
Trey. During the previous millenium, they became disillusioned by the professional
movie critics of the day, and wanted to create a place for normal people to go when
deciding what movie to view. This spiral of disillusionment came to a head when
they went to see The Crying Game, because the professional critics liked it.

Their story is like many others: two kids growing up in Houston on the
wrong side of the tracks. Both Mark and Trey had aspirations to accomplish great
things in life, but realized at an early age that neither had any talents. So, always the
capitalists, they decided to do what other talent-challenged individuals do---
critique.

After realizing that they had unique talents for movie rating, they decided to
venture into other areas in which they had modest knowledge: eating, golfing and
music (their own patented version of sex, drugs and rock 'n roll).

So this is their site. They hope you enjoy it.
